Directing a fiction piece is altogether a different cup of tea than directing a non-fiction short. While filming for fiction is, to a large extent, based on a pre-fixed screenplay, shooting for non-fiction depends entirely on translating the existing scenario to an engrossing film and Latha has done both.

Apart from editing all her fiction and non-fiction shorts, Latha has edited an entire Dance TV series. Being a Classical dancer has been an added advantage in editing music and dance in rhythm. Watching the goof ups at the edit table has in turn helped her play the role of a director efficiently.

From Corporate and Industrial videos to Art and Culture, Carbon technology, and Vedic Sciences, Latha grasps any topic and presents it in simple language to a layman through her films. She has also won an award for her feature-length screenplay in the Canadian Wild sound contest.

Formally trained in Bharatanatyam with Gurus Shri. M.V. Narasimhachari and Smt. Vasantalakshmi, Latha has performed the traditional classical repertoire in all the leading sabhas and festivals in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi, along with her sister Gita for two long decades.

Latha along with her sister Gita has choreographed and performed several Dance-dramas. Later, Latha developed her own style of ‘Solo Theatre Presentation’ a combination of storytelling, dance, and mime, which lends itself to a thematic presentation at universities, corporates, and conferences.
